My Ride: 2007 550i. Sapphire Black Metallic/Auburn Leather/Anthracite trim. Sport/Comfort Access/Navigation/Satellite/HD Radio/HUD/Premium Sound/M Aero Kit/with 50% tint sides & rear. 19" Style 166s.
I have a Treo 650 that paired and worked great with my iDrive.
Every since I returned from a trip to another part of the country, I cannot voice dial, or dial from my address book, or any number from iDrive (such as through navigation). When I try to connect using these methods, the communications screen appears as normal saying "connecting". The radio is still audible and it just hangs until you manually initiate another call using your phone dialpad. Using the "end call" command or the phone button does nothing.
Prior to my trip everything worked great. But now it doesn't.
I troubleshot it using a couple of Motorola phones and it works great. I tried both a soft and a warm reboot of my Treo with no luck. I think I'll try to check to see if my daughter's Samsung still works. She was the only other person who went on this trip with me. If her phone doesn't work either, then I'll know something changed in our phones since our trip.
Perhaps something changed from our local TMobile network to Missouri's TMobile network, I don't know.
Please let me know if you have any suggestions or experiences with this problem. Thanks.

I understand you said you performed a soft and warm reboot of the Treo -- can you explain what you actually did to perform these steps?
Neither of these methods made any difference. I'm checking to see if there was any other software installed recently, but nothing that should affect my bluetooth or phone.
Hopefully someone knows what's going on.
Thanks everyone!

Well I really can't think of anything specific. I do know that one of the reason's I took the plunge and moved from years of Palms to the BlackBerry is because the Palms were so flaky and unstable...

To all concerned, it looks like "hintert" and I solved our problem.
I'm not sure what actually got us working again, but we both removed the phone from our car's software as well as removing the car from our phone's software. Then we re-paired them. It works again. It seems I tried this before with no luck, but it's working now.
I'm not sure if it mattered, but I also performed a "warm reboot" of my Treo which reset it.
Anyway, we're good to go again.

I have had a treo 700w that is also very flaky. Sometimes it works, sometimes not and for no apparent reason. I ust traded for a new Moto Q9M but haven't tried the bluetooth connection yet. Since it is MS operating system, might still be a problem.
From everything I can determine the problems I have had are with the phone - not the car.
