Hello all,

I'm using a RAZR in my 550. How do you answer or mute an incoming call when you are already on the phone? I get the tone that a call is coming in, but then nothing pops up on the i-drive. I tried hitting the phone button to see if it would bounce over and that didn't work. Is it possible to use call waiting in the car?

Thanks for any help.

When you get the 2nd line ringing try depressing the I-drive knob - I'm guessing a context menu will pop up.

I think you have to use the phone to do what you want. Unless there is something really new in the car's software, I'm not aware of any menus or ways to take a second call from the iDrive controller.

Rudy is correct, the call waiting feature offers only an audible alert but you'll have to use the phone's "send button" to transfer between calls, I've transferred between calls several times using this technique.

In the UK using orange when I get the line 2 sound, I push the phone symbol on the steering wheel and this seems to end the first call and then automatically answer the second call.

The only thing the i-drive screen seems to lag behind a bit so you don't know who you are answering!

I think that works by default. You're hanging up on one call so the other one rings through. What we'd all like to see is the ability to swap between calls using the iDrive controller...
