Thumbs up

I'm pretty new to using BT with my Moto V550 phone and had an odd occurance this week. I was on an active call driving through a mountainous area and the phone lost a signal and dropped the call. The signal meter went to zero on the I-drive but....the active call stayed engaged on the I-drive screen and the counter continued to run, indicated the I-drive thought I was still talking.

The odd part is when I tried to use the I-drive controller to end the call, that option was "grayed out" The net result was I couldn't do anything but watch the counter run on the "active call". I tried to use the phone to end the call, but with no signal there was no call to end as far as the phone was concerned.

I was finally able to regain control after the phone signal returned. I used the phone to call my party back, the call automatically switched to the car and the counter reset itself and I-drive worked as advertised. If the signal had not returned, I was planning on turning the phone off to break the connection and try a reset that way, but signal returned before I had to exercise that option.

Any pointers out there and has anyone had this happen to them...didn't find anything on a forum search.
CIP version is unknown, but production was Sep 06.

Thanks,

Red

Did you try to hang up using the steering wheel switch?

It's been posted before - don't worry, I'm not going to whine about 'searching first'!

If it's any further help, I used to have this problem on my V635. I say 'used to' as it now appears to have been fixed. Unfortunately I have had both my phone's software, and my E60's software upgraded (to 19.01 I believe - as mentioned in the TS recently. So I can't tell which fixed it - although according to the TSB, BMW point specifically at the phone's software as the problem?...

Thanks again--at least I know I'm not using it incorrectly. And BTW, I did search and came up empty...but I'm not totally convinced the search engine is infallable.
