Hi, anyone using a Siemens S75? The previous model S65 worked great with BMW Bluetooth.

I have a S65 with a cradle, but my phone is dying and I need to get a replacement soon.

Was thinking maybe the new S75 might fit the S65's cradle, they look about the same size.
Any comments on the S75's bluetooth performance with the E60?

Thanks!

Hi eggz

Was at Singtel Bugis Junction a week ago and had the chance to hold a S75 - it's slightly shorter than the S65 and will not snap into the cradle. The antennae connector position is also out.

I am keen to buy the SE W900/950 or W990i but needs to know if they are 100% compatible as I wouldn't want to make the same mistake as my P910i. The latter is a good phone but it just cannot work with the E60 .

Olivin530i,

Heh heh...you know what? I tried the exact same thing. Went to the Singtel shop at Bugis Junction and made them take out the S75 and I brought my cradle for the S65 and tried snapping the S75 into it. Ended up at BJ coz I originally wanted to do this at the Siemens service center on level 2 and they said to try the Singtel shop

My S65 is really dying, #1 and #7 keys not working well, my IR port cover has dropped off and the phone hangs every now and then. Really need to get a replacement phone soon. Seriously considering the K750i, since there are good reports here.

The other thing is to wait for phones that use MS phone OS 5.0 which is suppose to be fully compatible with BMW's bluetooth unit.

Have you cosidered the Motorola L7? Apparently that works too.

Hi eggz,

Purpose when I went to BJ Singtel is to pick up a 3G phone for wifey - wanted W900i but was told it is out of stock for some time already. Ended up buying Motorola V3x. It paired well and phonebook transferred quickly - looks like it is fully compatible with the bluetooth in our ride.

Was at PML today and enquired about the cradle for K750i - no, they don't have anything on their screen at parts dept.

I still think the cradle is important as I always forget to charge my phone and there are blind spots in Singtel's coverage - both problems solved by having the snap-in adaptor.

On your remark about MS 5.0 phones - are you VERY SURE they work with the BMW b/t system?
