ok i need a new MAF siemens VDO- 525i se e60 2004
mine is faulty and giving no reading on diagnostic equipemnet
and car is runn9ng and idleing very bad
were best palce to get a new one
i can get brand new on fro 167.99 plus 4.99 to post
any idea where can get one cheaper or 2nd hand?

Try some BMW breakers for second hand parts.
Protip: in the mean time, disconnect the MAF and see how it runs/idles. Might be better. On VW/Audi's, the engine goes to a default set of timings in the absence of a MAF, so in some cases, you're better off running without one than a faulty one. The same probably goes for BMW's.

Ive been looking for the same part in the UK and come up with the same price form ebay item:

I will keep you updated if i find one new else where as im starting to look too...
I'm the same as you do you buy a 2nd hand one for bout £50 and risk that being faulty or splash out the full amount for a brand new one. I have the added issue of if it doesn't fix the problem your £180 out of pocket...... :-( let me know how you get on
