Try some BMW breakers for second hand parts.
Protip: in the mean time, disconnect the MAF and see how it runs/idles. Might be better. On VW/Audi's, the engine goes to a default set of timings in the absence of a MAF, so in some cases, you're better off running without one than a faulty one. The same probably goes for BMW's.

Hi,

Ive been looking for the same part in the UK and come up with the same price form ebay item:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1606362016...84.m1438.l2649

I will keep you updated if i find one new else where as im starting to look too...

I'm the same as you do you buy a 2nd hand one for bout £50 and risk that being faulty or splash out the full amount for a brand new one. I have the added issue of if it doesn't fix the problem your £180 out of pocket...... :-( let me know how you get on

Ian
