Does anybody know if I can have the Prof. phone retro-fitted in the UK? Changed my mind and want it after all..
If not in the UK, could it be done in Holland or Germany maybe?
I'd also like to get the remote controlled waterheater that is available in Germany, could they retro-fit that on a UK car?
First BMW after a line of Mercs, quite excited, one week to go...

Hi and welcome to the board
I would imagine yes it is retro-fittable but the costs would be prohibitive, I've got pro nav in my car (due in 112 hours!) and I couldn't have bluetooth with it at the time of ordering (late april) I found out it would be retrofittable eventually but the kit would be circa ?750 plus at least 12 hours labour at UK prices (which are cheaper in scotland but not that cheap) anyway, total would run to about ?2000 so clearly not worth it and I'm sticking to my bluetooth headset which cost me ?39!
post your spec in your signature file so we all can see what you're getting
Best Wishes

Thanks for the welcome..
Looks like we're picking em up at about the same time. Can't wait...
My merc broke down 3 weeks ago and was in the workshop for 2.5 weeks. Picked it up last Wednesday and it died on me Thursday morning 3am. Think it's trying to tell me something?

It knows its beaten! ![Big Grin](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/biggrin.gif)
I'm scheduled for 9:30 sat morning handover...car was 2 weeks ahead of original estimate......really starting to get excited about it now as this is the highest spec BMW I've had, ie sat nav/tv etc etc. Time to pension off my old garmin streetpilot!
110 hours!........not that I'm counting

Hi Flowerfred, welcome to the board. Let us know how you get on with your phone adventures.
That is an epic spec btw
Probably the best spec I have seen from the UK. Weren't you tempted to go for the 545i - a decent amount of that stuff in there is included or discounted?

<span style='font-size:21pt;line-height:100%'>WOW!!!!</span>
That must be one of the highest spec 530d's in the country what was the damage if I may ask?
my somewhat more basic spec still came to nearly 42K prior to my discount (7%)
(for browellm....great though the V8 is, I just love diesels......I erred into petrol for a cooper S and frankly it was V. Noisy if you wanted to have fun....Now I've got to do bigger distances...(inlaws in surrey, parents in Manchester, us in Scotland) diesel will save me a fortune in fuel costs)

Browellm, I did consider the 545, but I just loved the diesel at the test drive. Also, I have a trucking company and a few litres of diesel will not be missed in the quantities we use ;-)
DD, about 47k. Dealer told me they were expecting the car this wednesday and they need a few days to do whatever they do. Any guesses?

Good to hear the diesel performance isn't too overshadowed by the 545i - especially as I can't afford it

So, when I'm next in London, can I pop in for a tank?? LOL.
