One month to the day I picked up my 2008 528 my bluetooth went down. We paired it at the dealership and it worked fine. Yesterday when I tried to make a call all the phone numbers had disappeared. I have been unable to re pair the phone. My phone is a Motorola E815.
The screen has no record of a phone paired. I tried removing the code from the phones device history and also trying to pair my wife's phone. Checked everything.
Is there a way to reboot the system? I talked to BMW, they said it was very strange and to bring it in. I'm trying to save time by not going next week. Thanks

Sounds like a problem only the dealer can fix. I?m not sure that the Control-Alt-Delete method will help as that doesn?t reset the TCU.

So the problem isn?t that your phone numbers disappeared it?s that you are unable to pair a new mobile, correct? What is the error msg you get when attempting to pair?

I have a Motorola Razr and mine will occasionally not pair up with Idrive phone directory. SOLUTION: I take the battery out of my Razr, wait about a minute and pop it back in the phone, this acts as a reboot for the phone. When I go back to the car after doing this all is find and the names/numbers show up in the directory again. This works for me, hope it works for you.

The Motorola E815 has a long history of being compatible with the E60 BT. If neither phone pairs, it's most likely an issue for the dealer. Sorry dude

I just came back from the dealer. The SA first told me the phone was not BMW approved and that may be the problem. When I told him the phone paired and worked perfectly for a month, he had no answer.
They took it in and came back a half hour later. He said they paired a different phone and it worked. Then they paired mine and it worked. Don't know why..
Make any sense??
