Does anyone here have the new PPC-6700 on Sprint?
I was wondering if its paired well with e60's BT?

The phone is great, I just hope I can pair it with my 06' 530i......

I have an 05 530. I originally used it with a BlackBerry 7100T, which was a very stable set up. I just bought the Sprint 6700 and while it does pair with the car, I have found it to be very unstable. The car regularly erases the phone's profile requiring a new pairing process. The phone does not support the handsfree profile so the car is nothing more than a headset. This means no address book transfer or any other neat tricks.

As a side note the phone is great. I am writing this on it write now. I feel the trade off was worth it. Plus there is always the software upgrade for these devices. The EV-DO service is real nice. I get on average 900kps. It's like carrying a dsl connection on my waist.

Since the original post is sort of old, I was wondering if there are any upgrades or special software that will enable the e60 to access the ppc-6700's contacts? I am able to use the hands-free mode, but agree with the comment regarding lack of stability. Still learning the phone. Not quite sure if it's an improvement over my Treo 650.

I'm also about to pull the trigger on this phone, but don't want to shell out $500+ if I can't use all of it's BT features in the 5er.

I had the Verizon version and could not get any of the contacts to transfer, brought it back and got a treo 700w. Still have not gotten my contacts to transfer, but I did get a few speed dials to transfer.

Both conect to the e60, and the following functions work
send and recieve calls through I-drive
voice dial
redial list
missed calls
recieved calls

That is all I can think of at the moment.
