I have a Motorola V710 successfully paired to my 04 5er. Everything works except I get no ring sound through the car's speakers for an incoming call. I seem to remember that someone said that it only works if you have a certain ring style set on the phone.

Does anyone know whether that's true? If so, which ring style(s) ring through the car's speakers?

I have a Motorola V551 and on that phone at least it doesn't seem to matter what style or tone is set, the ringer I get if someone calls is always the same (just a plain vanilla ring sound much like what the person calling would hear until I pick up). Don't know if the V710 would be any different. I test drove an A6 before getting the 545 and the dealer paired his phone to the car to show me how it worked, and when we were driving his girlfriend called and the car *did* seem to be playing his ring tone through the hands free until he picked up.

The "Alert" and "TaDa" ringtones I get in my car are the same as you hear on the V710. I haven't tried any others.
