My Ride: '04 545iS 6 spd, bought new via eBay, 11/05; Blk/Gry, Cold, L7, PDC, BMW Rear seatcover for pets.
First "Bumwa" was a new 1971 2002. High performance 5s since 1987. Beamer motorcycles too, currently on an 07 BMW K1200 GT; also a Moto Guzzi 1000 SP III.
Hey all, To my surprise, my 05 like-new Motorola (Verizon) E815 just quit providing service last week. Powered up, BT was fine, just "no service." Not repairable, and new BT phones don't have same BT as the BTUM, according to BMWNA, so "try eBay" was the universal recommendation.
I bought a "new" but really refurbed E815 for $85 on ePrey. Verizon transferred service for me (free) and now I have to try pairing it to the BTUM in the morning. I can't remember any of the pairing details and hope this used phone doesn't have any mysterious codes loaded. I may be back with questions...too funny, since I was among the first to post all the BTUM details. Some things never end.

Just to followup: I fumbled at first, trying to sync the phone through iDrive. Then, when that failed, I found and used the instruction pamphlet that came with the BTUM and then everything went fine. The phone is actually being synced to the BTUM (and you need to push the BTUM button to put it into "find" mode and then you need to enter the Pass Code stamped on the BTUM into your phone keypad).
