Hello all! I've had my 545 for about 2 years now. My previous cell phone, (LG) worked fine. Got a new phone, (Samsung) about 9 months ago. It pairs and BT works fine , but my phone book won't load. BMW told me there was no fix! Is there a software update that any of you experts no of , or am I just screwed? Thanks in advance!

I'd have to say it is the phone. I would start looking on the phones forums.

When you explore your BT connections if your phone offers contact synchronisation you should be able to click on the connection and inside it there should be all kind of options where you can specify what to by synced to the car.

I'm using iPhone and I can manipulate what is sent to the MULF and visualised on the CCC module. If there is no such option your phone might not support this or it might need a software update.

Had the same experience with my 07 550i. Upgraded from Samsung S2 to S4 and my phonebook would not load. It was fixed by a firmware upgrade from Samsung although it was not listed as a fix. Hopefully LG will send out a hidden fix soon.

I have an 05 545. I have had several phones all of which paired and addresses with no problem. 6 months ago I got an LG G2. I paired with no problem (4.4.2) One day the addresses disappeared . I went o Verison - no resolution. I persisted, after all it worked. In time they exchanged the phone still no work. Then they exchanged for a G3 (WOW) Still no work
I went to a an INDY asked them to clear any registered phone in the TCU - NOPE

One day I read a brief article that suggested that I reboot the Idrive. (hold down the vol button and the cd eject to reboot)

I tried pairing using the pairing code 0000 same action phone - no address. cleared the phone in the Idrive and unpaired in the phone. Paired again but used code 1234.

Holy Crap! it works.
