I've connected the phone ( basic Nokia) and it works but the contacts are not transferred to the idrive or to the car. Any idea how to do this????

 

i have the same problem. Sometimes they do but mostly not. Any ideas?

 

In my experience just about every brand name phone I've had has worked; I've had BT in each of my BMWs since 2001 and the phone book transfer has worked 99% of the time. BMW does list phones that are "compatible" with BT in our cars. http://www.bmwusa.co...iblePhones.aspx

Back in the day I used a "basic phone" any issues with the phone number transfer was a phone firmware thing - be certain that your device has the appropriate firmware update applied.

Depending on your carrier that may be a stop at one of their stores or an OTA (over the air) push. I suggest you contact their customer-service hotline and ask.
