Hi guys,

I have a couple of questions (probably simple ones for you guys.. But it will save me time trying to figure stuff out..)

1. I have read about Bleutooth here on this forum, but still don't really get how to know if you can connect your phone or not.. So I have a simple question: "I don't have the Bluetooth settings on my Idrive, does this mean there is NO bluetooth in this car?"

2. If there is NO Bluetoothe in my car; can I get a dealer to install it? Or is it just a matter of changing some settings in Idrive or one of the modules in the car?

3. On my steering wheel I have the voice control and the telephone button, does this mean that I can phone/ voice control? Or is it just a cost cutting feature from BMW, to use the same buttons on all the cars, regardless from what options the car has?

4. My satnav always sends me via a different route because it doesn't know that I prefer a certain route (less traffic, etc..) Can I tell it to use a set route to my destinations in advance? Or do I let it recalculate every time I take 'the wrong turn according to satnav'.

5. I don't have height control on my Xenon lights (appears to be automatically). But I travel from UK to different countries a lot (LHD and RHS difference..). I read in the manual that you can change your lights under the hood of the car, by moving the lever to the centre of the car.. When I do this, I don't really see any difference in light pattern on the wall.. So don't think this works.. How far do you have to move the lever? As it doesn't move easily from the one setting.. So affraid to break it..


Hope these aren't extreem stupid questions, but hey.. All beginning is hard no?
