All you guys managing to pair - what CIP version are you on????
I am not sure which version I have, but my car's firmware was upgraded last time in october 2006.

Is it possible to check the CIP version without contacting the BMW dealer?

Hello

I can pair my N95 with the car's bluetooth device and everythings works fine except the address book. I have tried to install the Nokia application and followed your instructions, but it's still not possible to tranfers my contacts to iDrive. There is one thing I don't understand. The car's bluetooth device appears on the N95 as a handsfree device. How is it possible to transfer the address book to a handsfree device? Does iDrive store the address book in it's memory?

I hope you can make a step-by-step guide for me. Thanks in advance.

For those of you guys who were able to pair up the N95 with the idrive, What version firmware do you have on the phone? I have the newest one and it will not pair up at all. It gets to the point where i put in the pass codes and the idrive lists the N95 and the phone says unable to connect. I dont't know whats wrong. Please advise

I have the newest firmware for the N95 (11.0.026). The pairing works fine, but I can't see the address book in iDrive. I suggest you should upgrade your car's software.

Hi

As you will have seen in the forum already, I managed to pair the phone and also get the address book copied across. However, along the way, I did get the problems that you have encountered and can only say that it can take a number of attempts to get the pairing to work etc so please persevere.

Also, keep an eye on the Nokia web forums - I'm hoping that someone at Nokia might build a newer file which is specific to the N95 and Symbian S60.

Regards

I have gone through the Nokia forum I found a post where this guy has managed to see his N95 contacts in iDrive.
All his contacts appeared in iDrive after he had synchronized his phone with Outlook.

Check out here!

The new Nokia N95 firmware v12.0.013 is able to pair with E60 bluetooth system. You can download the firmware from the Nokia software updater. But there is a problem with it. It connects and disconnects frequently. Let me know if it happens to your phone as well.
