Hi there! Can anyone tell me if the Nokia N80 will work with the E60 BT setup (ie. pairing, contacts upload etc)?

I've also seen 1 post which claims that the XDA Atom works very well with full BT functionality with the E60. Can anyone else confirm this?

I need to buy a phone soon to replace my XDA IIs so any help you guys can provide will be great. I'm looking for a phone that will not only pair but also upload the contacts via the E60 BT. BTW, my car will be manufactured in June for an Aug delivery.

Thanks in advance.

I have the same problem, I've bought a Nokia N80 and I'm also wondering if BT is working correctly or not,
moreover I'm also wondering if a charger set exists ?

What are your impressions of the N80? Do you use it to get your emails and manage your schedule?

Guys - BMW chargers only exist for recommended BMW compatible phones...
Also if you really want trouble free BT ops, same story, unless proven from users here otherwise.

I tried the XDA Atom on the 2006 E60 M5 and it worked quite well. Contact got uploaded, calls made and received and voice dial via Voice recognition worked. I ended up buying the XDA Atom and will probably get the standard charger installed discreetly in the arm rest compartment.

The voice dial isn't that good on the BMW, but the ATOM voice dial works well enough if I need it.

Hi,

I have the same problem with the N80, telephone directory is not uploaded automatically, is there a 'manual' way to do this ?

Some people complain that they don't hear me that well, on the other hand I hear them perfectly (I can adjust the level on the steering wheel). Is there any way to adjust the volume level for outgoing voice ?
to which point do I have to speak to ?

cheers;

I have n80 and have just had latest (no idea what version but dvd plays mp3s) of idrive software added on my 5 series.
I can't even get my n80 to connect at all. I've given up and now just forward my phone to a crappy 6230 i keep in the car.

I did use a 6680 which I could connect with, but no address book sync was possible. I often found that the "sync" software on the phone would initiate a transfer but then fail. Anyone techi know if that can be configured to use the bmw protocols for transferring data?

I also forward the call from my N80 to my in-car phone. Setting the phone to call divert is a bit tedious though - is it possible to use some sort of shortcut rather than going through all the menu selections?
