Anyone fitted a Nokia CK7-7W into a E60 ? I have tried finding the E60 wiring diagram on the net with no joy.Would I be better taking it to a qualified installer ? it is only 4 wires and all the clips to install the kit are there it is just finding out where they go.Any help would be appreciated.Great site enjoyed scouring the topics before buying the E60.Very pleased with it I might add.

Hi,

Nad the nokia kit installed in my car and at Orange' suggestion used a car specific radio mute harness (?30) which makes the whole job a lot simpler.

According to my fitter they are not allowed to hack into the cars wiring up front to dray power for the nokia kit so have to run in from the battery (in the boot). Whereas with the car mute kit all power, speaker and everything else comes from the stereo via the plug in harness.

PS previous problems with BMW not allowing the use of glassmount aerials are now resolved so standard glassmount aerials can be used on BMW cars.

I suggest you get the car radio mute kit as for a DIY install it will makie it plug and play.

The kit works a treat either with my phone in the cradle for charging / use of external antenna or with the phone (nokia 6230) in my pocket using bluetooth to the kit.

Cheers,

Ian.

Why don't you use a Parrot kit instead which allow the use of the steering mounted buttons too. Is that not a requirement for you?

x2.

The 7w is fine with a Nokia cradle mounted phone but if you want to use bluetooth (more phone options) the Parrot is MUCH better.
