No I am afraid not. Still have the coolest phone and the coolest car unfortunately neither of them speak to each other. BMW couldnt give a damn nor could Nokia.

Just a quick one. Grinche, have you installed sw 4.78 on the phone? Result? Same?
No seemily I was mistaken and there is no new software upgrade for the 8800 phone. My phone came with V03.78 dated 17/10/05. I dont think there have been any upgrades since?

OK, I had a new CCC put in my car this week, along with, I am presuming, the latest S/W.
I can confirm that the Nokia 8800 works fine on it. Pairs and transfers the phone book (and copes with really long names!!). Also reconnects when you turn the car back on.
This is fantastic news for me (but I still bought a cradle for a 6310i the other day for ?60 as I assumed the 8800 wouldn't work!!)
The phone S/W is V 03.78

Thats interesting as your saying that this is down to the latest CIP on the car and not on the actual phone. I have been told that I have the latest software upgrade as I only picked up my car on the 09th January 2006?
