I bought a 6230 cradle a few months ago (one of the first ones in the UK)
The other day I noticed that the phone was not charging - but the aerial still worked.
I tried another phone in my car - didn't work
I tried my phone in another car - it worked
I then tried another adapter in my car and hey presto all fine!
Took it back to BMW and they replaced instantly.
But he said they have never failed before..... anyone else had any probs?
Just something to keep an eye on - as it is easy to miss.

My Ride: Oxford Green E60 530D with tuning box and all the toys!
Me too - thought it was a dodgy contact but replacing the phone a few times didn't fix the problem - I have to remove the cradle and replace it. It is annoying 'cos I have to check each time whether it is working as it is the main way I charge my phone - otherwise, little point in having the cradle at all!
Is the replacement OK?

Yep - the replacemant is fine chaps.
it seems to come in and out of the cradle easier now.
Worth taking back I think. Mine worked by replacing the cradle once or twice, but after a few weeks event that didn't work.
Good luck
