My Ride: E60 530d M-Sport
Anyone know if its possible somehow to use the bluetooth to stream audio from the phone into the car speakers ?? this phone seems to connect to the car as an audio device IIRC not like my Viewty which connected as a phone only ?

From BMW Bluetooth Product Guide;
"Use of the audio player integrated in the mobile phone parallel to telephone operation via Bluetooth - Selection / Start / Stop titles via the vehicle's control elements - Only in combination with option code 6FL - Option code 6FL not available in combination with X3, and 7 Series production until 08/2008.
- After connecting the mobile phone with the vehicle via USB cable, please consult the display on your mobile phone.
? Some mobile phones only support one storage medium in combination with the USB audio interface , i.e. the audio files must be stored in the mobile phone or on the smart card.
- With some mobile phones, the mode "Media? (for MTP / Media Transfer Protocol) or "File transmission? (for MSC / Mass Storage Class) must be explicitly selected when connecting the USB cable.
- When "File Transmission" is selected, the telephony function will be disabled with some mobile phones.
- It is recommended to couple the mobile phone before connecting the audio player."
You'd require the 6FL option...............

I have the media pack with pro sat nav and MP3 support on my dash mounted drive, I wonder if I have 6FL already, im going to the stealer soon so will ask, thanks Hawkwing, mucho appreciato.
