No SMS-Message with bleutooth phone???

I've noticed something with the bleutooth. It works great with the car and I have got no problems so far. Only thing I noticed tonight is that the car cannot recieve SMS messages. My wife send me an SMS and afterwards she called me why I didn't call here back. The I-Drive did not show an SMS and strangely when I got my phone out of the cradle it didn't show an SMS also. When I looked in the SMS part of the phone I saw my wifes SMS-Message opened so my phone opened it automatically but didn't show it to me.
Do others with bluetooth are able to recieve sms messages? I rather miss it and would like to have it.

I have the BMW phone professional, what actually uses BT.
I am not getting a beep or warning message, nor the SMS get's opened automatically. There is just a little closed envelope displayed next to the signal strength in the info bar at the bottom of the idrive screen.
Same with missed calls, when out of the car for a minute. No message tells you...
Another incoming call while you are on line one will be signalled by one short beep, and the caller will get disconnected before you have a chance to switch to the second call. The actuall call you're making stays active though...
I think a software update will solve those problems soon.

I don't have the envelope too.. Nor the possibility to read the message on my I-Drive screen. My old E46 did have this option.

Mmmh I think so. My manual doesn't say anything about SMS too. I'll ask the dealer tomorrow..

Same thing w/ 6310. When you're receiving a SMS while the phone is connected to car, the note of incoming sms will only be visible for a quarter of second or so. It's hard to notice while driving.
Changing the profile on phone to "outdoor" gives you a loud, short beep, which is a lot easier to notice. If you'd miss it, you had no indication of received sms, you just have to check msgs every time you leave the car. Not very comfortable.
Shame I didn't test the SMS feature w/ SE 700K. If anyone's got extra info would be interested to hear.
