New to the forum. Question? I recently purchased 2006 e60 and am considering purchasing a compatible cell phone to link with i drive and bluetooth. Does anyone have a suggestion? My current service is t mobile. I currently have an ipac 6315, but understand it can only be used as a headset. Please advise.

I'm hearing good things about the Nokia 6230 and will be using that model one of these days in my car...as soon as I can confirm that the cradle is available in the USA...

I don't remember where. But, fish around on the BMW NA website. The website indicates which Bluetooth phones currently will pair with BMWs. Take care before you buy. Many Bluetooth phones will not work at all or will not work well. I think the T-Mobile Razr will work properly, but don't recall for sure. The Cingular Razr works properly as does the Motorolla V551 (our phones). I prefer the V551 obviously.

Edit: I found the link; it is not easy to find. Go here:

Thanks for the info. I found this page as well, but this refers to 2005. I am not sure if this remains accurate for 2006 models. Some of the hyperlinks on that page have been deactivated. I have heard a lot about the Razor.

Thanks

You are very welcome. I don't know how up to date the page is. The only things I know for a fact are that (1) Cingular has 2 phones that work properly--the ones I mentioned and (2) the new Nokia phone offered through Alltel works only partially. We had to switch from Alltel to Cingular (or another) because Alltel had no phone that would work properly.
