hey whats going on..is there anyway i can get bluetooth added tp my 2005 545i can the dealer do it for me thanksss

 

On a 2005 545, you can have BT. You may require a software update to get it working but you have the proper hardware in the car...

 

is this a all day thing at the dealer or a simple 123

 

unless it's an early 05, it should already have it. if you go to the communications menu can you see the bluetooth option or does it just say "contact your bmw center" ?

 

it says plz activate phone and it dosent have the word bluetooth anywhere

 

If it requires a software update it might take all day...

 

go to the main menu. press down on the i drive controller to get to the settings page. somewhere in there should be a communications settings menu item. click on that, and one of the options at the top should be bluetooth or paired devices, something like that. then click down to add device. this will make the car discoverable. proceed to the pairing on your phone and choose whatever code you want. enter the same code on the idrive when the car asks for it and you should be set.
