Anyone else using a Q9 in their car? I've been using mine for a while but bluetooth connection keeps dropping... what irritates me the most is that idrive still says I have signal...
but when the call comes through, it doesn't ring in the car.. and if I answer when this happens I get nothing... I can't hear the caller and the caller can't hear me... very frustrating..
I then have to turn off bluetooth in the car then turn it back on to get it to work... but then it happens again..

I have been using my Q9h in my current car (pre-LCI with Pro-NAV + BT) and my previous car (LCI with Businss-NAV + BT). Its worked just great in both cars. Naturally there is the odd issue with reception, however that's not down to the car or phone, but the providers' networks. Do you have the same issue with your phone if you use a headset and not the car's blue tooth?

Come to think of it... I've never really used a headset with this phone.. I just don't like them.. I guess I could borrow a headset and try it out.. good point!
While we're on the subject, would you be able to tell me which version (and build) of windows mobile you have on your Q9h? Thanks!

Mine is running Windows Mobile 6 Standard
CE OS 5.2.1809, Build 18322.0.6.1

When using mine in the car, I have BT settings as follows:
- Status: Bluetooth ON (surprise surprise )
- "Tick" box for Allow other Bluetooth devices to see this phone

Under Advanced settings:
- "Tick" box for Send Owner Info on request
- "Tick" box for Use Hands-free for standard audio
- "Un-Tick" box for Play audio notification when a hands-free device connects or disconnects (- I don't think this is relevant for your issue)

If there are no differences in settings, then just try to eliminate other issues, e.g. check coverage in general in the area, or whether other phones work. Other than that, you may just want to do a Master Reset or have the latest software loaded on your phone.

Good luck...

I've messed with all those settings.... I had WM 6 standard and had the same problems... I updated to 6.1, and now I even
went to 6.5.. Well, actually, I just did that last night.. and I'm sure it's just coincidence.. but I got to testing the phone in the
car this morning on the way to work and the connection didn't get dropped...! but I'm not going to get my hopes up yet, like
I said I'm sure it's just coincidence.. Anyway, I asked about which OS because I'm just about done exhausting the phone
options.. For now it looks like only time will tell.. I made and received several calls on the way in to work this morning with
no issues but we'll see..

Thanks!

I had both WM6 and WM6.1

Both were standard AT&T ROMS. Nothing funny.

Well... 5 days later and I'm surprised but no issues yet... I've been able to make and receive calls consistently and (crossing my fingers while knocking on my desk ) Bluetooth has not disconnected on me yet!.. I'm still saying it's coincidence though.. Let's give it a few more days then well really see...
