I have a 2007 US 530i, updated v25.02 software, nav, and a recent Motorola V3m Verizon phone - that is listed a fully compatible by BMWUSA.

Can someone explain which missed calls are record in iDrive and which are not? Most of my missed calls when I'm away (phone usually stays charging in glovebox) don't get picked up on iDrive. Is this normal Bluetooth behavior? Would someone elaborate because this is the only means I have to know if there's a message that might be waiting, without physically picking up the phone.

Do you leave your car on when you are away from it? Presuming you don?t, how could the missed calls display on the car since the car doesn?t know that the phone rang?

In general, most people see the missed call icon when they get a 2nd call via call waiting or if you are on with BMW Assist and your phone rings (which you will not hear).

Otherwise, any calls that come in while the phone is connected to the car which go unanswered will display as a missed call.
