I backed over my cell phone the other day and it still worked, but don't try that with your laptop. I may never be able to retrieve the battery from the cell if I ever need to.

I rocked up on it two or three times before deciding that something was wrong. It had fallen out of my shirt pocket while I was washing the front wheel and when I cut the wheel to back up the phone was trapped underneath. It never really went totally over the phone, but sure gave it a good squishing - wet, too from the wheel washing. Used it this morning. Works fine.
