Today I have picked up my iPhone snap in Adapter.

Some pictures to give you an idea how it looks in the car (E91 325i). Price is 80 euros. There are rumours that there will be a snap in adapter with a USB port so you can use your iPhone in the snap in adapter and listen to music. My snap in doesn't have it but as it seems on the pictures there is already small opening wich could be used for an usb fixture in the future.

Interesting. I like the extra USB bit. BMW are now doing what I managed to do on my HTC myself i.e. charge, aerial and music all from the cradle itself.

Bruce,

Quick question, with your HTC are you able to use the steering wheel controls for volume and selecting songs etc...
I actually got my ipone kit today in the mail also from here in the US.
I thought the Cradle would endable the Ipod function of the iphone guess I was wrong! so at this point it appears as if I got a very expensive phone charger since I had to order the eject box etc..

Cheers,

Apart from a place to put your phone and to recharge it, what does the snap in adaptor do for you?

My '07 has the snap-in for a Motorola 710/e815 but now I have a Mot Maxx. And, since I put a case on the new phone it wouldn't easily fit into any of the snap-ins now offered for it. Since my phone BT's and works well w/o being connected to power and antennae I'd like to replace the snap-in with the standard tray but my stealer wants $75 for that part. I have two questions:

1. Is there a market out there for a hardly ever used snap-in for the Motorola 710/e815 ?
2. Are there any out there who are selling the tray that is removed when an adapter is installed? (yes I did search first w/o success)
