FYI, I just got my iPhone, and it does pair just fine with my vehicle (as expected).

And the phone is GREAT.

It does. Pretty slick. Just plug it into your center console, close the lid and you have both the iPod interface and the bluetooth phone stuff working 100%!

I have an iphone. Can anyone verify that it works with the bmw iPod adapter in an early model e60?

The touch screen is just absolutely incredible. Every person I gave the phone to was using it in a matter of seconds of telling them how to use it; navigating menus, scrolling lists, using the browser, etc. The interface is so intuitive and the touchscreen so well executed that it's just amazing. If I sound like I'm gushing praise, I am, and it's well deserved.

Apple has really also put a lot of thought into how the keyboard works, since it's not tactile. I recommend watching this short little movie:

It should work with any iPod vehicle adapter.
