iPhone 3G S snap in adapter, will I be able to play music?

Ok, that makes more sense... These inductive-type antenna boosters aren't particularly good, but I suppose they might help in marginal areas.

If the adapter is proven to give better reception via the external antenna, I might do this. Can anyone else chime in on using the iPhone snap-in adapter and how much it improves reception?
