hello! i have the O2 Exec (same phone different name). i recently upgraded the firmware from O2's site. i finally paired my ohine to my 2005 545i however..... i had to turn off the data service (GPRS in my case) in order for it to work. i have 1400 entries in my address book so it took 7 mins to download to the car. once done, the reception strength indicator came up in the idrive console but the phone icon did not. i was still able to use the phone.

as of today, i was not able to make the phone and car connect again.

i have not updated my car's software since i purchased it. i am wondering if that will help. the jasjar/qtek/o2 phones are Bluetooth 1.2 if i'm not mistaken. not sure what the car is.

Base on my understanding with Microsoft Mobile Phones. Microsoft wrote their own bluetooth stack that is not 100% compatibable/stable with BMW car enable bluetooth. I used to own the motorola MPx220.
This phone is a Microsoft Mobile Phone I can never get it to pair with my BMW.
Dame microsoft
