I just paired the car and my Nokia 6300 together. I can see it from I-drive menu and phone also. However, when the phone rings should it automatically connect to cars handsfree system or how it will work? I don't have any sim-card in the cars phone.
The user manual is in german, so it does not help much...
How it is supposed to work?

Mine is a Nokia 6230i, but the principle should be the same: if your phone is paired, and you can see it in your I-Drive, the phone will ring over the car's speaker automatically, and you'll get a prompt in your I-Drive screen to answer or reject the call. You simply use the I-Drive controller to select and click the action you want.
One thing to watch out for is that the phone will ring at least once in your pocket / briefcase before I-Drive picks it up. A little unnerving at first, as you wonder if the car's system will capture it, but it does, and you'll get used to it after a while.
2 questions back at you: (1) where are you located? (2) Once your Nokia 6300 is paired, can you call up the address book on your I-Drive screen? My service provider has offered me a free 6300, and I'm wondering whether to take it.

I have a 6300 and it works just fine, address book and all.
The delay before the car "rings" does make you wonder if all is OK to start with, but I soon got used to it. It seems, to me, that the delay depends on what audio source is currently selected (DAB, radio, CD iPod etc.), although I have not tested the various combinations.

Well, the phone is paired but nothing happens when phone rings. It does not ring on the car loudspeakers or ask whether to accept the call or anything? I just tried with another Nokia, same there - paired nicely, but no go?

Yes I have, but as I said in the first post I don?t have sim card installed. However, my Nokia is listed before the car's handheld device.
