Almost finished cleaning the "naughty sauce" off my pants, but basically this means "we" get A2DP profile!!! Unless BMW ends up issuing a hardware upgrade in conjunction with this new integration.
I asked BMW AG in Munich whether or not they will support A2DP some 2 months ago. Back by then they had no plans. After the disaster w/ the ICE-Link adapter I don't believe it only if I have it seen working
Skepticism is healthy, but at this point Samsung would have a bit of egg on its face if this didn't get delivered. Also, they may not have been able to divulge that information when you spoke with people in Munich.
I don't envision that we will see it tomorrow, but hopefully by the time we see bluetooth iPods.

Awwww - ratfarts...
If these fools have it right, (and I'm not saying they do) - it would seem to indicate that a Bang and Olufson audio option is in the works for the 5 series that would include the Samsung phone with cradle as well as the bluetooth support for it. That could really mean all sorts of unique system components, although not necessarily.

Reviving an old thread...
Have there been any updates on BMW adding the A2DP profile?

None as far as I know.
My car had an update about a month ago, and I tried pairing BT stereo hoping that maybe it had been added. Wishful thinking... the device claimed the car didn't support the proper profiles (same notice as before). I doubt we'll ever see it in the E60. It didn't make it into LCI...
