My Ride: 2007 525i Monaco Blue w/ baige interior, auto, and premium package. My first BMW. Moving up from a 2004 Acura TSX.
My Motorola Droid stopped pairing with the E60?. It worked fine the first two days, and today it just crashes as it tries to connect to the car. I get an error on the phone stating that it has to force close the process. I tried deleting the prior connection on the phone / car and starting all over again from scratch, but did not fix the issue. Anyone else experienced this?
I do not know if maybe one of the apps I installed caused it to go belly up or perhaps this is a known bug with the phone firmware? Frustrating nevertheless
For the rest, I love this new phone.

Should I sell my tour and get the droid? I'm thinking about it seeing that I could sell my phone for about $350 and pick up a droid for a bit more.

I love my Droid!!
Of the many apps I've installed I recommend Lookout - an free app in the Marketplace!
It's way cool and a godsend if you ever misplace your phone (if you send a siren alert to your phone -- warning, it's LOUD).
It also performs back-ups and has anti-virus features.

I have the mytouch rooted which enables me to save apps to memory card instead too internal, also allows me to tether my phone, and the ROM im using is based of the hero with minor tweaks, like faster Hertz, more screens etc. 2 sites i recommend to "unlock" your phones are
The unlockr.com and www.xda-developers.com under sapphire
these updates are based of the 1.5 version u might have to downgrade to upgrade.

I bought the HTC Hero as well, flawless interface with the IDrive and very cool overall platform. I do get frustrated with ending a call while talking on the handset, you have to waken the screen first then hit "End Call".
i think the screen goes to "sleep" to conserve power while talking.
