Droid anyone?

I just got mine..it's FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAST. I love the voice navigation and search features. The keyboard is not even needed in most cases...but it's nice to have it there in case.

I have heard nothing but excellent things about the DROID. I need to go to VZW check one out, I'm due for a new cellular communication device.

I have seen this in person as well. It is nice and fast. Wifey is due for a phone upgrade and was wondering if this phone will actually work in an 08 X5 or an 08 550i Sport ?

i was playing with it at the verizon store this morning. it is a treeemendous phone, easily the best phone for verizon (maybe even the best phone out right now). like others have said, it is uberFAST. i also looked at the the blackbery storm 2, and that is such a POS phone in comparison.
my only gripes (and teeny tiny ones at that): get slicker graphics (HTC's phones are better), and get rid of that touchpad thing on the right side of the keyboard and make the keys larger. i went to the apple store and played with the iphone to compare the two and i still made more typos using the apple keyboard than the droid, so theyre not that bad.
damn, i wish i didnt need a GSM phone, otherwise id switch in a heartbeat. (fingers crossed for a GSM version soon)

I'm wondering about the new "Droid" phones too. See my post about HTC and have pairing questions.

Have you paired your MOTO yet? Phonebook transfer OK (I have 200+ contacts)?

IDK I have been sort of screwed over by Verizon once - that's what actually made me switch to AT&T. But this is interesting - hearing nothing but good reviews, although nothing too specific yet.

You guys may have read this already, however re the Motorola Droid there is greater Bluetooth functionality with v2.0 (Eclair) of the Android OS. The link below outlines v2.0 improvements including file exchange and key here the Phone Book Access Profile . The GSM version is being referred to as 'Milestone' in Europe.
