Great news...I knew sooner or later they'd figure it out!

 

The voice command works when I tell it to "dial number" and all my phonebook contacts in my Sony-Ericsson W800 appear in the i-Drive menu. When I go into the main menu (by pushing down on the i-Drive knob) and go into Communication settings, there is no bluetooth option, so I assume this confirms that it is a non-BT TCU. Good luck and just keep at them, I get the feeling that I am not the most liked person at my dealership anymore, but hey, I finally got BT. It is a shame that I have to feel like the bad guy in all of this.

 

Thanks man i finally got my car back and bluetooth is a working perfectly, and the great thing is that it is intergrated without the BTUM they changed the tcu once again and had to get all the info on my car onto a floppy and load it to the tcu while upgradeing. It turns out that once you cahnge something in a previous cip you can not go back. I am now trying to see if my dealership will reimburse me for the 490 cradle btum and eject kit that i no longer need as i did not purchase it from them because they had it back ordered and no ship date insight so i brought it from Pacific BMW and they dont take returns on special order electricals. I have a letter from the BMW puma case wich stated to reimburse me but the parts is balking at the order from them but anywho i have bluetooth with my Netlos v710 paired and fully functional and my Verizon Razor paired and fully fuctional and can switch between the two by moving one or other up in the pairing chain. Anyone need a brand new cradel btum and eject kit?

 

I might be interested, but I am using a Motorola V551 phone... would that fit into the slot well? also, how much can you offer me? thanks...

 

gimme gimme gimme 50 gimme 75 gimme 300 gimme, Ill take anything 325 and over not sure if it will fit though lets make a deal. But if your v551 is bluetooth then why worry if it fits? just use the lighter for the charging duties
