Canadian cell phone users
Hi everyone, my e60 just came in, and now it's time to get a cell phone with bluetooth capabilities. In your opinions, can you please suggest good cell phones offered from bell, and rogers. Preferebly bell, that way i wouldnt have to switch my service. Thanks in advanced!
cheers,
Jack

I posted a request here over a month ago asking if anyone is using this phone and if they were able to pair it with BMW bluetooth however I did not get any replies.
The only other alternative with Bell is to get a Blackberry which is bluetooth capable. These are the only two choices with Bell as the carrier, so far.
Rogers on the other hand , does have a few bluetooth phones, one of them being the Motorola RAZ which I am told is a great phone.
If you do get the LG 325, please post your results as I do not want to change my samsung unless I am sure that the LG 325 will work with BMW.
Hopefully the CRTC will soon finally allow us to change carriers and maintain our Cell phone numbers like they do in the USA. I have had my phone number for 15 years and due to business reasons cannot change my number.
Please let me know how you make out. Thanks

Jack,
I have just learned that Bell Mobility will soon start carrying the Motorola
E 815 which is a bluetooth enabled camera phone that has been getting excellent reviews in the USA. Am not sure of release date but have received confirmation that they will get this phone.

Jack,
Stop by a Bell dealer and see if you can pair a demo phone with your car. If it pairs, you should be OK.
I am with Rogers. At the time I got my SE, Bell was just getting started in Alberta and did not have a BT phone.

I'm using Rogers because I need a 4 quad GSM phone. Bell doesn't offer GSM. I went with the V551 Motorola and love it. The only issue (which is most likely the same for all phones) is that bluetooth eats up your battery.
You should go with a cradle which keeps your phone charged and uses the cars shark fin for much better coverage ...
No problems at all with the phone/car link, voice dialing, etc ... all great

What do you mean by a Bell SIM CARD? Bell is on CDMA and does not have a sim card?
