Have a Verizon V710 with the cradle.
Once in a while, I place a call using i-Drive. The call connects and i-Drive shows the call as on-going, but I can not hear anything. On the other end, the person's phone rings, but they can't hear me. On my end, I can't terminate the call: pushing down the controller doesn't do anything. Only picking up the phone and terminating the call on the phone works. I can get back to the main menu where other functions like Entertainment work fine, but the Communication menu is stuck in this call.
Not sure if this is a BT/E60 problem or if it's a Verizon problem. I noticed once that this happened several times when I was stuck in a traffic jam. Presumably, a lot of people were making calls in an area that probably didn't have a lot of available circuits.

I've had something similar happen once with my V3 on T-Mobile. I was on a call, no problems until I was between towers and lost the signal. The call didn't terminate and would not, even with the handset, until I powered it down. All was fine upon power up and the BT connection to the e60 was re-established without a problem.
It is likely a BT issue.

Happened to me today in the UK on Vodafone with a BlackBerry 7290. Definitely not phone/network-specific! Call ended because the other person - who called me - disconnected, but iDrive froze. Had to re-boot with 3-buttons procedure - which was possible because I was in a traffic jam too...
