Yup. Though promised, they were unable to deliver on a number of items including NAV, SMG, etc. Brings back old memories (eh Lomag & DAS) !!!

I was an early skeptic of this vehicle. I am quite happy to say that after a few things were ironed out, I have found this 5 version to be BY FAR the best I have owned.

I would not hold my breath for a NAV retrofit. That makes the Bluetooth upfit look miniscule in comparison. I have used a Magellan GPS unit which has the advantage of being portable. Yes, I would like the seamless integration and widescreen display, but I believe this is the best its gunna get.

My car is now Bluetooth enabled also!!

Pretty cool, but yeah... I'll forget about it soon too as it becomes part of 'normal driving life' -- but it's an awesome feature to have.

I'm still hoping to get MP3 play back working.

The button under the idrive knob is for menu and the other is for voice control -- neither have anything to do with the phone. The phone button on the steering wheel does indeed work though and so to all the phone related voice commands. "Dial Name from address book" etc.. all work perfectly. It's pretty funny how the computer says certain names though, lol

Lomag, Would you please see my latest separate post here regarding my dealer's difficulty in understanding what programming might be needed for a FRESH (no prior CPT9000) install for this BT Adapter, and let us know your experience?
Thanks,
Ray

It was easy enough. Just follow the directions here in this thread:

http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=...l=CPT9000+Eject
With these instructions it says to connect plugs in the truck to use the antenna. Do we need to make any trunk connections for the btum? Or, do we just install the craddle and plug ins from the center console then have the dealer update software?

I think you don't need to connect the antenna wires at all because the bluetooth uses the cell phones antenna only however with that said I went ahead and connected them anyway.

If I already had the CPT9000 operational and discontinued my service with Verizon in Nov '05, will that prevent it from working. Does anyone have success pairing with devices not listed on the .pdf that started this thread. I have the new Treo 700w.

Thanks in advance.

BTW: Just found this forum and think it is great!
