Greetings from Pittsburgh,
I would like to get a bluetooth phone installed in my 04 530i. The dealer advises that at the moment it can not be done because of issues with BMW Assist. Can anyone tell me if they are aware of this? I really rather not get the CPT9000 if I can do bluetooth. Thanks, Arno?

Arno,
Go to this thread and read about how pharding did it. Cars built after march 04 have the best chance of being able to work with bluetooth.

Also, the procedure is new, so you may get conflicting info on it's availability/compatibility, but read the thread and you'll see how it is done.

My research into the V710 directly with Motorola indicates the data transfer software is not yet available from them and may not be a Verizon problem. They are working on fixing the software but would not give me a date for software release. However they did advised me to contact hellomoto.com to submit a notification request when the software was released. When pressed, the tech support person thought it would be about a month. I believed this person because she was up to date on the directory transfer problem.
