on the online bmw parts catalogue it shows you the bluetooth retrofit kit.

http://rust.mine.nu/bmw/showparts.do?model...=95&x=132&y=122

is that all? it looks quite easy to fit. I guess E60's are pre wired because it does not show any wiring harnesses you have to buy and there is no pre-wired option available.

what do you think?

I don't think it's that easy. I-Drive needs to be reprogrammed, and, in US, BMW Assist and Bluetooth cannot co-exist.

You need to have telephone pre. wiring (op. 640) to have the kit installed.
Including: prewiring, antenna, and power for the phone...

We do now have bluetooth, the BMW dealer installed it.... Works great!

E60Sim,

If I can ask, about how much did the retrofit cost? I am hoping they will get it to work here in US and wonder about the cost when it is ready.

The cost for material and installation was ?990 (1.200$), and that includes the eject box in the armrest.

One of the best features in E60, if You ask me..

Skipper,

"My total cost for labor, eject box and phone was $1083 US." But, I don't think you have BT. They're just phone and craddle. Correct me if I'm wrong.
