Maxxone,

Did you go to the dealer? How was it? Cause I have the same problem here.

No, not yet I'll let you know soon as I have a result .. But a few days ago I accidentaly stalled the car and my phone displayed Bmw17496 disconected ' I've tried for 3 hours after that to make it connect again with no result , and also some time ago I've tried to pair a Nokia N73 and the pairing process was reversed : the car asked first for the PK and the phone afterwards , tried it again the oder day and now the phone asks first for the PK what's the catch ? Could the bluetooth already be enabled butt because the CPT is also enabled do those odd things ??

I have taken the car to a dealer for a software upgrade , and I had eyebrows activation , voice commands set to english , mp3 functionality , and the problem with the phone , and the dealear says that no CTP erase is necessary in order to get other phones to work .. They checked and they told me that everything is working fine but I should use a compatible phone as other phones then those on the list won't work at all . I haven't got my hands on a compatible phone to test it .. What do you think ? Should I go to another dealer ??

Does the hard wired BMW phone work? If so, the dealer has to deactivate that one first. You can't have the CPT-9000 and Bluetooth active at the same time. It's either one or the other. Trust me, I found this out the hard way a few years ago...

Hello.

I have had my E60 530D 04 model at Bavaria Haugesund, Norway today to deactivate CPT-9000. They claim that CPT-9000 is not possible to deactivate.
They also checked by BMW Norway which also say that this is not possible. Have you got some more info about this operation, or can you tell me which dealer which fixed the problem?

Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure that my advice applies to cars outside the USA. Maybe the original poster will update us on what's been going on with his car...

As I've told you in my previous post no phone works and the dealer refuses to disable the cpt because they say it should work anyway ... I'm MAD I'm thinking to buy one of these http://www.wireless4bmw.com/btum.html What do you think ??
