Hey guys,
Maybe this is annoying to you guys but it more annoying to me, I paid an X amount of money like most of you did I am sure. They tell me you can pair your device with the car and you also have a built in phone but I keep getting nothing but problems. Now they claim that I don't have Bluetooth, how come?
It seems that BMW branches don't have enough information about this

Please look at the attached detailed file below.

This file also includes a step by step procedure to pair a mobile phone with your car, pictures included.

Does this also work for US Specs. "Pre-wiring for BMW mobile telephone"?

I sent the same PDF document to germany, we will have to wait and see. I used to study in the US and most of the built in phones that come in cars are through AT&T (no GSM card). I am not sure about the new ones but in some areas AT&T started using GSM cards on their phones, other companies as well.

But I don't see the point of letting only the built in phone work and block the Bluetotoh, I hope it doesn't give you that problem in the US. The best things is take a bluetooth phone and go to the showroom, then ask them to show you how it works (if BT is available). Then you will be sure what to do.

This is a serious issue, how come BMW isn't giving any documentation on this. I am looking forward to getting my car and I don't want to have such problems.

Thank you Desert530 for such detailed information, I hope you can get this problem solved. Please keep us updated.

My dealer said that Bluetooth will work smoothly, but I don't think this is the case with such problems. Does anyone have an idea or a clue about thhis whole issue?
