Does anyone know or has anyone tried pairing more than one phone to the car?

For example, my phone pairs with the car when I drive it and my wifes phone pairs with it on the few occasions she may get to drive the car?

Thanks in advance for your help.

What happens when you're both in the car at the same time, each having bluetooth phones?

The car will hold only the first connection it makes. You can pair up to 4 phones, but only one at a time can be active.

If the second person wants to talk using the handset it should not interfere. If they want to use the car set, then you need to either turn off or unpair your phone.

You will know the answer if you have bluetooth phone

j/k

You can set the phone priority in your idrive. So one will supercede the other.

I was driving my SA's car once and his phone was paired and shown in the idrive menu. I paired mine successfully too and everything worked just perfect.
Both phones were shown, and mine was in use.

Iceman:

Are you saying that when his phone was shown on the I-Drive, your phone could accept calls through the I-Drive at that time?

Horzmad and I did a test last month. We each paired our phones to his car, but we could only have one active connection at a time.

His and mine were shown on idrive.
Since he wasn't in the car, mine was the active one. I used mine, everything just worked perfect.
Back at the dealership he just got in his car and his phone got reconnected.
While mine was in use, his was also in the list, but inactive at this time, since mine was connected and he wasn't there.
