Sherif - Thanks for the interest. I am having my car software done in a week or two. Don't know the current version - picked it up August 2004. The phone has had the latest firmware upgrade last week, so that is as up to date as I can get. Let me get back to you after the car's software is done and we'll take it from there, if that's OK with you.

Cairo is cool (or was when I was there in 1978!) - has it changed over the years?

In order to see which firmware you are running you have to access the Service Menu. This is done by (rather quickly) pulling the joystick right, pressing *, left, left, *, left, *. The firmware version is located under service information > SW information.

This works on all Ericsson and Sony Ericsson phones. On the t39m there is a lid counter and on the t68i there is a joystick counter - useless but fun.

Let me know what version you have. Mine is R2AA working very nicely.

Golfnut,

Let me know once you have the upgrade. There must be a way to find the version without a MODIC, we just need to find it :-).

As for Cairo, still as is. Just getting a lot more crowded!!

Save yourselves. Sherif's model probably has a different ULF. It is not made in Dingolfing like the others.
