Was about to purchase the Ipod install kit and an Ipod, so was doing some research... I think I'll wait for this... Check out the article. Anyone have any additional info on this?

We've bantered about this before:
There will be a bluetooth enabled iPod, most likely released this year.
Motorola will build a phone that supports MP3 and AAC (iTunes) both, again probably this year. Both are still in the building/rumor stage but appear to be highly likely.

I don't think it is likely to work with current BMWs with BT.

Maybe future models with more advanced BT capabilities will work.... but since this iPod thing is newer than the cars, I don't see them working together.

But, I could be wrong. Maybe the engineers making this thing have figured out a mircle. But I still doubt it.

I suspect you'll be right out of the box but given the Apple/BMW commitment I would not be surprised to see one of the software updates down the road support a BT enabled iPod....of course step one : BT enabled iPod must exist...

actually, it will work within iDrive ... BMW and Apple are jointly developing a BT iPod, may be out sometime this year ... unlike Microsoft, Apple can and does make things that work together, BT is not as new as the E60
