Rumor has it it's a Motorola phone that supports iPod AAC format rather than just a standard MP3 format.

And you can bet a 60 gig bluetooth iPod will be released this year to boot....

..You seem pretty knowledgable about cellphones (but I am obsessed ). Unless the Moto/iPod is already well known to the general public.

The next generation iPod and iPod mini will have color screens.

I'll nod to that, and add that the next iPod mini will be 5 gig instead of 4...

Sounds great so longs as the base unit will plug into the aux-in. I'm assuming it will. The better alternative would be for BMW to incorporate it somehow into iDrive but that seems like a ways off. I may hold off since I seem to be the last person to get an iPod

Bluetooth or a direct cable in and in idrive, I am buying it the second it comes out. A buddy of mine just got his densison ice unit in his 3. When I get back in town next week, I will find out how good it works.

...the base will NOT plug into the aux, that defeats the purpose here... the iPod will connect via Bluetooth and will be integrated into iDrive system for full functionality...also expect a bump to 80G - 100G storage capacity....
