Bluetooth - End Call Problem

I'm having trouble with my RAZR connected through Bluetooth to my 2006 530i. There are times where I'll select "End Call" from i-Drive, but the call won't disconnect. The radio will come back on, but the little timer for the Active Call keeps incrementing. Also, the little antenna on the bottom of the screen keeps flashing. I had the dealer look into this when the car was in for its last oil service, and they updated the software (not sure which CIP, but now I have RDS). Any ideas from the forum members?

Have you tried ending a call by pressing the phone button on the steering wheel? I know this does not answer your question, but this is how I end my phone calls because it is so much easier than using Idrive.

Same problem here in last year, happened about 70% of the times. Dealer upgrade software last October and now phone works better. However, still get this problem once a while.

I too have a RAZR, and if the call is an incoming call, and the other party hangs up, then the system will terminate the call. If on the other hand, I orginate the call and the other party hangs up first, the system will not terminate the call untill I select the end call option. Is this normal? On my V551, either way the system would terminate the call.

No, it is not normal. You should ask your dealer to fix it via software upgrade. After the software upgrade last October, when I originate the call and other party hang up first, the phone will hang up in less than 60 seconds. There is a timer within the software to hang up the call when there is no signal detected.

However, there are some situation that software still could not detect and stay connect forever until I shut off the BT feature.
