According to the new information on the BMW website...the cradles are supposed to charge the phone. I installed the part myself and it is using the shark-fin antenna but no charge. Is there something the dealer has to do to make this thing charge the phone?

I have a cradle for an ericson T630 and it charges the phone! I just snapped it in and used it. No need to do anything else.

I assume you connected the wires for both the antenna and power to the plugs below the rear seat A/C vents?

I don't remember connecting any wires up. I'll have to have a look!
