Hello,

I have a bluetooth phone. All i can do is use it, wireless when required. Is that the only function of bluetooth? To make my bluetooth bmw handset work. Can i do anything else. I found my own Nokia while searching. But cant do nothing with it. Cant transfer contacts or anything...

Anyone know of documentation for this?

Each Bluetooth device may (or may not) support different Bluetooth profiles. Take a look here to see what the profiles are:

It's likely that you won't be able to transfer contacts between phones via BT, you'll only be able to use the phones hands free with the car...

Well, i think it only handles the BMW handsfree set. And thats all. I thought it could handle much more things. My 2004 bmw 530d, does not have a harddrive to bluetooth songs etc... so, basic but also great to have a handsfree phone in car
