I have a 2007 530i. Can i pair multiple phones? If so how do you determine the dominant phone if both my wife & I are in the car?
Yes. You can pair multiple phones. The 'primary' phone or 'dominant' phone is the one that you move to the top of the list in the bluetooth menu on the idrive.
I have my RAZR and BB Pearl paired to my e60.

I think you should try adding the second phone while the first one isn't paired. In other words, just pair them each seperately. After that, you'll see them both in the menu and you can choose which one you want to "move up" the list to become the primary (dominant) phone...

That is a given, no? Bluetooth technology would not permit otherwise.

Obviously -- to you and me -- but this site's all about helping people out. It wouldn't be the first time that a BT newbie was a little confused about how to get things working properly...
