Hi,
Could anyone let me know if it would be possible to take the complete bluetooth kit from one a e60 2006 and install on to another e60 2006 that initially did not have it install by the manufacture .The vehicle that I intend to install it on has a professional sat nav ,idrive system.
I query it with BMW main dealer and they reckon that when the car has to be programmed to recognise (paired up with) the bluetooth unit ,it probably wont do it because that unit has already on it all the informations of the car that has been taken off from ,and that thy only guaranty that will work if the bluetooth unit is,new, blank,or previously wiped off.
Could you advise how may I wipe off the information on the bluetooth unit, module, or if you know that the programming can be done using a unit from another car .
Many thanks, and I hope to be able to return your favour somehow too.

No need to wipe off any info from the replacement unit. I did the swap too and it only requires the programming from the dealer to activate. GL
